Maren Hassinger and her video work, Birthright, is the subject of an article in Smithsonian Magazine in anticipation of her upcoming installation, Monument, a partnership between the Smithsonian American Women’s History Initiative (AWHI) and the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District in Washington, D.C. On 27 October at 5:30 PM, the Smithsonian AWHI will host a free Zoom screening of Birthright with Hassinger-- registration is required HERE.
