In response to Meko’s landscapes, Hays selected Meridian, stating, “the title has a double meaning, referencing both longitudinal lines seen in Michi’s work and Meridian Mississippi.” Through a deliberate use of found material and color theory, Hays makes work suggestive of the Southern landscape.
